Transjakarta Bus Night Service Enthused by Jakartans

The late night service operational (Amari) involving Transjakarta bus is apparently very enthused by Jakarta residents. Evidently, the bus can already serve 6,148 passengers in two days with the most enthused route, Blok M-Kota at corridor I.

Within two days, Amari operational can already carry 6,418 people

Head of Transjakarta Management Unit (UP), Pargaulan Butarbutar said from evaluation results for two days, public interest to use the Amari is pretty good. "Within two days, the bus can already carry 6,418 people," he stated, Tuesday (6/3).

The amount of the bus fleet for Amari is about 18 units at three corridors. Butarbutar detailed, the amount of passengers at corridor I (Blok M-Kota) reaches 2,850 people, consisting of 1,383 on first day and 1,467 on second day. Then for corridor III (Kalideres-Harmoni), total amount of passengers for two days is 1,117 people, consisting of 577 on first day and 540 on second day.

More Corridors Serve Amari Soon

As for the total amount of passenger at corridor IX (Pinang Ranti-Pluit) reaches 2,451 passengers. Its amount was recorded from passenger on first day with Rp 1,449 passengers and 1,002 passengers on second days. The passenger surge happened at 10 PM-2 AM.

"The Amari passenger keeps increasing on second day compared to first day. Especially at corridor III and IX, its amount decreased slightly," he told.

He expressed that increase in the amount of Amari passenger at corridor I is Blok M-Kota route categorized as the most busy corridor than two other corridors. While for decrease in amount of bus passenger at corridor III and IX is due to many people returning to their hometown or after a holiday on Sunday. While on working days, not everyone go home at night.

He furthered Transjakarta bus serving Amari will be added in the near future. "If the public interest keeps increasing, we will add the bus as needed," he stated.

As for the information, each corridor is only served by six buses. For regular corridor, is operated at 5 AM-10 PM and Amari operated at 10 PM-5 AM.
